Ooredoo Fintech is fully owned by the Qatar-based Ooredoo Group, a leading international communications company with over 156.4 mln subscribers across the MENA region and Southeast Asia. Ooredoo Fintech was formed in 2022 with a plan to launch subsidiary companies in different countries within the Ooredoo Group footprint. With the formation of Ooredoo Fintech, its subsidiaries will offer compelling mobile wallet solutions to consumers and SMEs.
By combining extensive knowledge about the local market with its well-established mobile money expertise, Ooredoo Fintech aims to deliver robust and tailored financial solutions to the markets of Qatar, Oman, Tunisia, Iraq, Kuwait, and Maldives, and provide strategic guidance, governance, and support to its subsidiary companies. We aim to financially empower people living and working in the region and their families. Turning what some may view as weaknesses into advantages, the absence of legacy systems becomes a catalyst for rapid progress.
